Security & Customization
The Digital PhotoManager Administration Module makes this an extremely flexible and customizable system. Administrators can edit databases, create and change screen layouts, add and hide data fields, edit codes, drop down menus, and perform other administrative system functions.
Digital PhotoManager gives your agency the ability to have multiple databases available via a drop down menu (Adult, Juvenile, Applicant, etc.). Each database is given unique security settings in order to assure that only users with security access are allowed to see a given database.
Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, and additional PhotoManager
security features maintain the integrity of your database. You can
even track, log, and manage user and group activity so you always
know what changes have been made.
System Conversions
For the convenience of your agency, DataWorks Plus can securely convert your existing data, images, and fields into your Digital PhotoManager database quickly and efficiently. We have interfaced and converted numerous mugshot systems
including TFP Instant Image, X-Image, and other proprietary systems. DataWorks Plus can also clone your Digital PhotoManager database and utilize an SQL database to assure immediate, fault tolerant, continuous operation through backup, sharing, and separation security. The Digital PhotoManager security features, combined with Microsoft Windows and SQL Server Security, guarantee the integrity of your database.
System Features & Benefits
Digital PhotoManager provides real-time movement viewing during
image capture. The system includes qualilty assurance as well as
a Face Find feature for image capture. Face Find crops the face
to set the appropriate head size, and does it all without any operator
intervention. . Digital PhotoManager also utilizes other types of
images in the system. You can not only store mugshots, but pictures
of property, SMTs, or any other images your agency deems necessary.
Lineups can be easily created with images in your database simply by dragging and dropping images to use in a lineup. Additionally, the system includes a similar image feature that locates images similar to the candidate image to use as filler images for a lineup.
Digital PhotoManager's Witness Mode lets you create a lineup for secure witness viewing on screen. Investigators can display a customizable number of images at one time for a witness viewing. The witness can scroll through the images without investigator intervention and mark the images as "possible", "positive", and "negative" suspects. The Witness Activity Report which is available at the end of each witness viewing session makes it easy to know which photos were positively identified, and will even tell you how long each photo was viewed.
Web-Enabled for Agency Wide Access
DataWorks Plus' Digital PhotoManager provides a web client called WebWorks that is run over your agency's network using industry standard browsers. This allows agencies to access data from Digital PhotoManager from desktop processors, mobile units in patrol cars, and palm devices throughout the entire agency. WebWorks can operate via Intranet, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Wide-Area Network (WAN), or Internet using industry standard browsers.
WebWorks Plus provides automatic record updates, the ability to search and retrieve, create lineups, photo zoom and crop, print and track user activity. Each of the following WebWorks applications allows viewing of images via your WAN from any client PC running Windows 95/98, XP, or 2000 with Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher.
- WebWorks Plus retrieve and line-up is intended for investigative and administrative applications, usually desktop, where full feature search, line-up, reporting, printing, tracking, administration, and activity logging capabilities are desired. Users are generally in an investigative environment and immediate access by multiple concurrent users may not be mandatory. Sites that require retrieve stations and investigative search would use this application.
- WebWorks Express is a similar application without the line-up capability, and is intended for other desktop and mobile needs. A larger number of users, agency-wide, have access to the system generally with a greater number of concurrent users. A version of this application can be applied for mobile patrol users that generally have specialized needs like large command buttons, keyboard friendly search, uncluttered, light featured, and designed to take mobile communications limits into consideration. Screen refresh rates and other functions taking bandwidth are efficiently minimized and tailored to mobile needs.
- PocketWorks is designed to work with Wireless PDA devices. Retrieval of the image is simply done by the user logging in and entering any indexed field existing in the booking & image management database. The system can be proposed with numerous software and workstation licensing configurations. For instance, thick client workstation software license plans are available as well as Web enabling technology to avoid each workstation requiring a thick client software application to be loaded.
